Ingredients
  • 1 large head of cauliflower (cut into florets)
  • 2 oil
  • 1 cumin seeds
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 piece of ginger (grated)
  • 1 red chili (chopped)
  • 1 turmeric
  • 1 coriander powder
  • 1 garam masala
  • 1 cumin powder
  • 1 salt
  • 1 tomato paste
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger and chopped red chili to the skillet and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, tomato paste and tomato puree to the skillet and stir well.
  5. Add the cauliflower florets to the skillet and mix well with the spices.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of water into the skillet, cover and let cook for 15 minutes or until the cauliflower is tender.
  7. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom of the skillet.
  8. Once the cauliflower is cooked, uncover the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  9. Serve hot with chopped cilantro on top as a garnish. Enjoy!
